"If my mission comes from the world, as they keep saying, the world before its end will see the end of my mission. If it comes from God, my mission before its end will see the end of the world,” Salomon Joseph Severe.
HUMANITY NEEDS FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST:
Out of all the virtues that relate to the Christian religion, the one that is most difficult to keep is Faith. It is vital for Christians. It gives us the assurance of the existence of God. Even when we walk with God and we benefit from great privileges reserved for the redeemed, we sometimes doubt and face uncertainty. The acts of charity, prayers, thanksgivings, preaching and praises are all important parts of Christian worship. However, none equals a steadfast faith. Jesus Christ, once said, “But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?” Luke 18 v 8. Thus, the main concern of the Lord is to find faith on earth.
The apostle Paul in his epistle to Timothy wrote, now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last days some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. 1 Timothy 4 V 1-2.
In addition, when the apostle Paul sensed that his ministry was coming to an end, he wrote:” As for me, my life has already been poured out as an offering to God. The time of my death is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful, and now the prize awaits me – the crown of righteousness… 2 Timothy 4 v 6-8.
When two Christians from EMC meet, they greet each other in this manner: One says L’Humanite (Humanity) while the other respond La Foi (Faith). It is a mutual engagement to keep the faith in Christ in the entire human race. Other greetings are used as well: Christ reigns, God is Great! All is well in Chist, etc.
