SUCCESSOR OF MISSIONARY SALOMON SEVERE JOSEPH :
Pastor Salomon Severe Joseph deceased on February 19th 1973, due to an illness that lasted less than fifteen days. Before his death, he appointed a young man by the name of Jude Valery, the second son of his first daughter whose name was Rosemene, to replace him to continue his mission. Jude was presented to the assembly of the church’s headquarter, called the Mother Church, the first Sunday of August 1972. He received the laying of the hands seven months prior to the death of Salomon. He also received special training at the Institute of Common Sense (Institut du Bon Sens) founded by Salomon, which he continued throughout his calling as a pastor.
Before Salomon’s death, he established a dozen of local churches, most of which would meet in private houses under arbors made of coco palms. The pews were setup on wood sunken into dirt, about a few inches deep
